Meritco Services, a fast-growing China-focused strategy consulting firm, was founded by ex-McKinsey consultants in late 2009 and now has presence in Shanghai, Beijing and Chengdu with a team of over 80 consultants.
  
Since the very beginning of our establishment, Meritco has been dedicated in building a very strong healthcare practice with a mission to serve leading corporate and PE clients in the areas of pharmaceuticals, medical device, and healthcare service in China. Our topics include corporate/ BU strategy, marketing effectiveness, route-to-market strategy, sale force deployment, M&A target search &screening and commercial due diligence. On average, we conducted 30+ client engagements in healthcare each year and cover clients from branded global pharmaceutical and medical device companies to top-notch private equity/ venture capital investors.  

Specifically, in hospital investment space, ever since three years ago when hospital transactions became active in China, Meritco has advised on nearly half of transactions in the market and served a significant portion of private equity clients. Today, our practice has accumulated more than five times deal experience than that of followers in the hospital consulting domain.  We support our clients across a broad range of objectives (e.g. commercial due diligence, business planning and operation improvement) in the past 20+ hospital projects. Targets include all classes of public and private hospitals with 200 to 1000 beds in scale across all stages - from Greenfield to turnaround situation.

Now, seeing the huge market potential in hospital operations service line, Meritco is committed to build the No. 1 hospital consulting team in China’s market by assisting hospitals to achieve success through addressing their unique challenges and offering strategic and operation solutions. By forming alliance with hospital experts from leading hospitals in China, we aim to provide insightful and implemental advice to both public and private hospitals. Meritco currently is advanced in topics such as: physician compensation/incentive mechanism design, patient centric care management, etc.
