南开化学历史悠久，起源于1919年南开大学建校伊始的理学化学门。1921年，著名化学家邱宗岳教授创建化学系。1995年4月，南开大学化学学院正式组建成立。2017年9月，南开大学化学学科入选“双一流”建设学科名单。历经近百年风雨磨砺，南开化学励精图治，人才济济，成果累累，全面发展，已成为国内外具有重要影响的人才培养和科学研究基地。

化学学院培育和凝聚了一批高水平的专家学者，学院现有中国科学院、中国工程院院士6人，国家“万人计划”领军人才5人，国家“万人计划”教学名师1人，教育部“长江学者奖励计划”特聘教授8人，国家杰出青年科学基金获得者18人，国家“教学名师奖”获得者1人，国家“四青”人才35人等。

学院取得了一批高水平科研教学成果，历年来荣获国家科学技术奖一等奖1项，国家科学技术奖二等奖16项，国家科学技术奖三等奖10项；国家教学成果一等奖4项、国家教学成果二等奖4项。2018年，我院肩负使命、矢志一流，荣获未来科学大奖1项，全国教书育人楷模称号1项，中国侨届杰出人物提名奖1项等。

2019年，南开大学将迎来建校百年华诞。百载风雨，沧桑砥砺。值此百年校庆之际，南开化学诚邀国内外学者共襄盛举，齐谋发展，为南开新百年续写壮丽华章，为“双一流”建设开启崭新征程。
为汇聚全球优秀青年学者，共话南开化学学科发展，“2019国际青年化学家南开论坛”将于2019年4月11至13日在南开大学举行。本次论坛的主题覆盖所有化学前沿领域，以及材料化学、能源化学、环境化学、化学生物学等领域。

论坛参加者为已获得化学或相关学科博士学位，且有海外科研工作经历，并做出突出成绩的青年学者。有意参会者请于3月10日之前通过邮件提交申请，申请材料包括中英文简历、发表论文目录、5篇代表性论文。

会务组将对申请材料进行遴选，通过遴选的申请人将在3月10日前收到正式邀请函。
主办方统一安排会议期间的食宿（免费）；同时为参会者提供差旅补助（海外学者最高1500美元），请自订机票，并保留登机牌。

Call for Speakers for “2019 International Youth Chemists Forum” at Nankai University

Nankai University has a long-standing history of chemistry research in China. After nearly a century of wind and rain honed, Nankai Chemistry has become an important influence at home and abroad for personnel training and scientific research. On the occasion of the centenary birthday of the university in 2019, Nankai Chemistry invites scholars around the world to come together and look ahead for the new century to open up a new journey.

It is our great pleasure to invite you to participate in the 2019 International Youth Chemists Forum at Nankai University, which will be held on April 11-13th of 2019 in Tianjin, China. The topics of the forum cover all the conventional areas of chemistry, as well as interdisciplinary research such as material science, energy chemistry, environmental chemistry, and chemical biology.

Application for speaking at this forum is now open with the due date of March 10th, 2019. Applicants shall possess a PhD degree in chemistry or related areas granted by prestigious universities, research experience in prestigious overseas universities or institutions, and excellent record of achievement. Applicants should email their application packages to Miss Ning Han (nkchem@nankai.edu.cn) by March 10th. The application package should include a tentative title of your talk, CV (in both Chinese and English) with a full list of publications, 5 representative publications, and contact information. Selected speakers will be contacted by March 10th.

The invited speakers will be reimbursed (up to 1500 USD) for international airfares to and from Tianjin, accommodations and meals at Nankai University.
