The Associate Director/Director will be responsible for project management of novel drug research and development. Frequent contact and communication with local and global CROs for project management is necessary for this role. In addition, hands-on experience for assay development would also be required. Candidate should have background in molecular biology, oncology or immunology.
Specific Responsibilities:
Lead one or several projects for novel drug research.
Design and execute the laboratory experiments involved in assigned projects.
Document, interpret, and troubleshoot all experiments with upmost scientific rigor.
Actively participate in internal and external scientific discussions.
Follow latest advancements in the field by means of thorough and regular survey of relevant literature and scientific conference attendance.
Propose and develop innovative methods and technologies as well as new directions for projects development.
Identify patentable inventions and support their filings.
Education and Qualifications:
PhD in Cellular Biology, Molecular Biology, Immunology, Oncology or related discipline required. Oversea PhD experience is a plus.
Three-years of post-doctoral training in academia or industry research laboratory.
Minimum two-year professional experience after completion of post-doc; industrial setting preferred.
In-depth knowledge of cancer biology, immuno-oncology, as well as familiarity with antibody therapeutics technology.
Extensive technical expertise in the fields of cell culture, biochemical assay and cell-based assay development, flow cytometry assay, molecular biology, and state-of-the-art gene expression profiling and analysis methods; experience with deep sequencing, translational science, and in vivo animal models a plus.
Fluency with major scientific software and online resources.
