Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to manage key organizations/key projects to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget. The manager is responsible for the scientific oversight of the projects, serves as a technical expert and resource person and provides a timely communication link among stakeholders. He or she will need to work directly with external clients, coordinate with internal departments, fit with collaborative and competitive culture in GenScript.
Responsibilities and duties:
• Study assigned key accounts’ organizational structure, clients’ relationship, research direction, project application. Fully understand key accounts’ information in all aspects
• Take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project
• Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members
• Delegate project tasks based on junior staff members’ individual strengths, skill sets and experience levels
• Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short- and long-term goals
• Update project progress to clients based on project agreement or milestonely by email or Telecom
• Provide scientific explanation to unexpected results, and suggest reasonable solutions.
• Work collaboratively with other departments to distribute the resources effectively
• Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing service standards
• Coordinate customer visit and propagandistic presentation with commercial team
• Use and continually develop leadership skills
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies
• Coach group members in daily work, provide training section based on company’s requirement
Qualifications and skills:
• Ph.D degree in biology related field or Master degree with at least 5 years industrial experience
• PMP Certification
• Client orientated, excellent client-facing communication skills
• Strong English writing, speaking ability (CET-6 or above)
• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Supervisory and managerial skills
