T-Systems is one of Europe's leading providers of information and communications technology (ICT). Within the Deutsche Telekom Group, T-Systems is responsible for supporting the business customer segment, ranging from medium-sized and large companies all the way up to multinational corporations and public institutions. On March 2006, T-Systems acquired the international IT service provider gedas, which will reinforce T-Systems' market position as a provider of ICT services to the automotive industry at strategic international locations.

T-Systems started its business in China from the base of Hongkong. In 2006, the legal entity T-Systems P.R China Ltd was established in Beijing. At the same time the acquisition of gedas China, with its established business base in China enhances the solutions and services of T-Systems China. T-Systems China will focus on providing ICT services to large multinational enterprises and automotive industry. IT Services will include Network Management, Desktop Services and System Integration with a specific focus on SAP solutions and services. The new T-Systems China has offices in Beijing, Shanghai, Changchun and Hongkong with more than 150 professionals engaged nationwide.
